Having practiced yoga on and off for many years, Alison returned to yoga after a life changing event to seek comfort from grief. Not only did it provide solace, but as an established dressage rider, it improved her riding ability and performance and also gave her more relief from arthritis and auto immune disease than any Western medicine ever had. In her opinion the benefits were too great not to share, so after training to become a yoga teacher, Alison set up Foxwood Yoga.
Initially the intention was just to offer classes to people living with cancer both at the local Hospice and in the community, but due to high demand general classes were also added to her busy schedule. Her ethos is that yoga is inclusive and open to all, not just for young, fit, skinny minis!
