Classes

Small classes mean faster progress and understanding of the technique and allow for lots of individual observation and encouragement not possible in larger groups.

Group Classes

Classes are 60 minutes in duration (except Friday which is 75 minutes), £10 each (5 class pass £45, 10 class pass £80) and are suitable for adults of all abilities. Mats are available if you do not have your own.

Please arrive in good time as the class will begin promptly. All new students will be asked to complete a health questionnaire before their first class so an additional 10 minutes will be required.

Private Classes

Private classes provide the ideal platform to perfect your practice! The style of yoga and the class content are crafted specifically to your personal requirements. Alison our resident yogini, is such a convert that she attends a weekly private class herself.

Workshops

Sunday 19th May 2019 3.30-5.30pm Two Hour Slow Flow and Yoga Nidra ~ (In aid of Hospice in the Weald)

Due to the popularity of previous two hour workshops at Foxwood Yoga (which always sell out and go to wait list), Alison has added this Slow Flow and Yoga Nidra to her timetable.

The class will start with a slow moving Vinyasa Flow linking movement with breath, flowing from one pose to the next to gently get the body moving and the heart pumping. It will transition to a Yoga Nidra, which is among the deepest possible states of relaxation while still maintaining full consciousness. It requires no physical effort, other than lying comfortably on a yoga mat supported by bolsters, wrapped in a blanket (with the addition of a lavender scented eye pillow if that is to your taste) whilst being gently led through a guided meditation.

All profit from this class will be donated to charity (Foxwood Yoga supports The Hospice in the Weald).

This two hour Yin and Yang yoga class offers two teachers for the price of one!! Alison (of Foxwood Yoga) will lead this workshop alongside Sally Dernie, a fellow teacher who, like Alison, qualified to teach this unique blend of yoga, with the highly respected Yoga Academy.

Yin and Yang Yoga is a practice that balances the slow paced Yin yoga with traditional Yang yoga (Hatha) and offers the opportunity to practice the two different styles of yoga in one class. It generally starts with a Yang practice to get the body moving and warmed, before transitioning to the slower paced Yin practice. During the second half of the class the body is supported with bolsters and blankets to allow it to gently stretch and relax, easing away any tension and tightness.

By combining the two styles, Yin and Yang yoga improves energy and fitness whilst promoting relaxation and healing.

Whilst one Teacher is leading the class, the other will offer assistance and optional adjustments where required.

This class is suitable for all levels and complete beginners are actively encouraged.
